The Vortex Clear Action Gate valve is well-suited for installation above a rotary air lock that is feeding into a pneumatic conveying line. It will seal conveying air loss above the rotary feeder. With its stainless steel internals, this valve is it an excellent choice for food applications.

No material packing - Other square blade, slide gate valves typically jam and pack material into the end of the valve as they close. By design, when the Clear Action Gate valve is closed, the leading edge of the blade does not make contact with the valve body. Any material at the leading edge of the blade discharges beneath the valve.
Mechanically cleans - The Vortex Clear Action Gate mechanically clears material from the sealing surfaces on each closing stroke. This action allows material to discharge beneath the valve. Open cavities where materials collect in other knife gate valves have been eliminated with the square blade and seal arrangement. |
